The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) says that the Agency is currently enhancing and conducting maintenance work on its Online Grants Application system and has been effective since September 12, 2024.  SASSSA states that during this period members of public will not be able to apply for social grants online, and the process will be underway until tomorrow. The Agency however states that, those who need to apply for social grants can still visit their nearest SASSA office for assistance. SASSA states that the maintenance of Online Grants Application system is an important undertaking to ensure its efficiency and reliability to stand the test of time in our resolve to pay the right social grant, to the right person, at the right time and place.
