Jenes Manhe, the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature Regional Liaison Officer, recently held an informative session with the Ward 4 committees of the Joe Morolong Local Municipality. The event, hosted in Hotazel near Kuruman, aimed to enhance understanding of the provincial legislature’s structure, roles, and societal functions. During the session, Manhe provided valuable insights into the NCPL petition system and highlighted the importance of public participation, as mandated by constitutional obligations. A statement indicates that this initiative reflects NCPL’s commitment to educating and empowering the people of the Northern Cape. In his closing remarks, Manhe encouraged attendees to disseminate the information within their communities and invited them to include him in future community meetings for additional civic education workshops. The NCPL JTG regional office continues to focus on strengthening relationships with its stakeholders, aiming to foster greater community engagement and understanding.
