In a heartwarming display of
corporate social responsibility, the John Taolo Gaetsewe Developmental Trust
has committed to building a decent house for a family of 25 living in dire
conditions. The pledge was made during the Trust's participation in the
Baga-Jantjie Traditional Council's Nelson Mandela Day program in Gamasepa
Village. The trust says, the family, residing in a small mud
house, caught the attention of the Trust's CEO, who was moved by their
devastating living conditions. it says, they have already begun making plans to
provide the family with a new home, in addition to witnessing clothing donations
from well-known stores. The Trust says, in
collaboration with the Baga-Jantjie Traditional Council, they will also engage with
institutions like the Department of Social Development and SASSA to provide
necessary support to alleviate the family's poverty.
The John Taolo Gaetsewe
Developmental Trust says they remains committed to driving high-impact sustainable change
and making every day a Mandela Day.
