A teacher from Keidebees Intermediate School, Sofia Quiso, was among many teachers who were awarded for their outstanding contributions to the education sector. Quiso, who was nominated by her school, says she did not expect to win in the category of Excellence in Life Skills Teaching. Quiso explains that she chose this category because Life Skills is a reflection of her life, whether in the community or in the workplace.Quiso elaborates and says that she used the platform to give the world what she has to offer in this category, as you can't give what you don't possess. She says that whatever is required in this category is something she already possesses and it adds value to whomever she encounters. Quiso was awarded Best Teacher, securing 1st place in the ZFM District for Excellence in Life Skills Teaching, and she further went on to represent the ZFM District at a provincial level, where she became the 2nd Best Teacher in the Province for Excellence in Life Skills Teaching. Quiso says her intention is to improve on her current knowledge and will continue her contribution to to the education sector.
