The deputy president of the opposition party Economic Freedom Fighters Floyd Shivambu confirmed that he has resigned from the party and is now joining the Umkhonto Wesizwe party. Shivambu spoke during a press briefing held by the EFF earlier today where he had the following to say:Insert - Floyd 1He says he left the EFF voluntarily to join the MK party without any position promised or anything else:Insert - Floyd 2The president of EFF Julius Malema accepted the resignation and said the following:Insert - Malema 1 He says the constitution of the EFF doesn’t allow members to resign and join other political parties and come back to EFF but he will allow Shivambu to return to the EFF as he is a founder of the party:Insert - Malema 2Residents of Upington reacted to this announcement and had the following to say:Insert - EFF Community
