Final preparations are in full swing for the commencement of the ABC Motsepe South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod (SASCE) National Championship. Representing the ZF Mgcawu district are the primary schools Finsch and Lukhanyiso,  Patrick Mlotha, a member of the Northern Cape SASCE District Coordinating Committee says the latter is considered a formidable contender in this large-scale competition. The SASCE, a School Enrichment Programme by the Department of Basic Education (DBE), seeks to foster unity in diversity, national reconciliation, the espousal of positive values, the establishment of a new South African national identity, and the advancement of social transformation, cohesion, and widespread participation among school-going learners in South Africa. Mlotha says the championships will conclude on Saturday.
