Some people with disabilities in Upington says they feel forgotten. Conrad Bosman, a 29-year-old disabled man residing in Louisvale Road, says he has been living with three disabilities that have significantly impacted his life. Bosman says, despite his determination to equip himself with knowledge and skills to become self-sufficient, he feels neglected and overlooked by society.  He says he has undergone numerous training programs to enhance his abilities, hoping to secure a stable job and gain independence, however, his efforts have been met with disappointment and rejection. Insert - Conrad BosmanMila Van Wyk, a vision-impaired individual, shared her concerns about the significant role age plays in her life. Despite her qualifications and eagerness to work, Mila says she faces discrimination from potential employers who overlook her due to her disability. Van Wyk says she also encountered challenged with her aspirations of higher education because of the lack of institutions accommodating people living with disabilities.
