The department of Roads and Public works in the Northern Cape has published notice of the closing of roads in the Hantam municipal area following flooding. The department says the Rooewerf to Middeldrift road otherwise known as the Tankwa road outside of Calvinia is closed due to the Bosrivier flooding a low-lying section of the road. The department encourages all road users to be responsible and safe on the roads.
