The National School of Government concludes their three-day Induction program

The National School of Government yesterday concluded a three-day induction programme for Members of the Executive Council of the Seventh Administration in the Northern Cape. According to an official statement by provincial government the programme focused on ethical leadership and executive oversight, the executive ethics code and ethical decision making. The Provincial government says The Ethical Leadership and Executive Oversight Programme is designed to assist members of the Executive in dealing with and managing various ethical challenges. Its objective is to promote a culture of effective oversight and moral leadership as outlined in the Constitution, the Executives Ethics Code and other relevant regulations. The participants which includes the Director General Justice Bekebeke, Heads of Departments and Chief Financial Officers also had presentations by the former Public Protector, Professor Thuli Madonsela on the Executive Ethics Code and Ethical decision making in the workplace. The Provincial government says at his turn Premier, Dr Zamani Saul, encouraged Members of the Executive Council and Senior leadership in the Administration to work harder in accelerating the pace at which services are delivered in order to gain a trusting relationship with the people.
