The
Democratic Alliance in the Nothern Cape says it has reported the Tsantsabane local
municipality and Vaal Central water to the South African Human Rights Commission as a result of significant water shortages experienced over the past
week due to outstanding debt. The DA councilor at Tsantsabane local municipality James Boucher says Vaal Central Water shut down the water supply to this
area because of the massive amount of outstanding debt, totaling more than R118
million, owed by the municipality. He says since Friday, the 26th of July 2024 a number of areas including Boichoko, Airfields and Mountain View in
