Upington International Airport is alerting the community to be aware of potential job vacancy scams circulating on social media. The airport has identified that scammers are impersonating legitimate businesses to defraud individuals. It says these fraudulent schemes often involve payment requests for job positions. Upington Airport advises that genuine job advertisements will meet certain job-specific criteria and cautions individuals against responding to ads that require payments, list multiple positions in a single post, or appear on non-official career portal websites. The airport encourages the public to report any suspicious job adverts to their hotline website and the airport's official email address.
