The South African Police Service in the Kai Garib municipal area are scheduled to have a community Imbizo on Thursday in the area. Constable Itumeleng Mahura from the Kakamas police says this Imbizo serves the purpose to grant residents in the area the opportunity to voice their concerns and challenges to the relevant authorities and be addressed. Mahura explains.....Insert - mahura1Constable Mahura says various departments have been invited to be part of the imbizo including, Social Development, SASSA and the National Prosecuting Authority amongst others. He encourages residents in the area to attend the imbizo. He says everyone is or has in some or other way been a victim of crime therefore all residents have to come together so that ways can be found to address the issue of crime as a collective. Mahura says the Imbizo will take place at the Kakamas primary school from 16:00 in the afternoon.
