The South African Police Service says a 27-year-old man was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment for sexual acts with a 15 year old girl in De Aar yesterday, the 4th of July 2024. Police spokesperson Colonel Cherelle Ehlers says the 6 years imprisonment was suspended for 1 year. Ehlers says the incident came out on the 15th of April 2024 when a family member took the 15-year-old girl to a local clinic in De Aar and it was found that the girl is preganant.
