The Pixley Ka Seme district municipality on Friday 28 June 2024 held their final District Communication Forum for the 2023–2024 financial year at the De Aar Hospital boardroom. The municipality says that this Forum served as a strategic information sharing platform to enable collaboration, integration, and alignment of government communication. The municipality provides that the forum was chaired by Miss Bosch and attended by numerous stakeholders, including ICASA, GCIS, the Department Home Affairs, the Department of Education, the Department of Health, the Department Transport Safety and Liaison, as well as Local Municipal Communicators. During the engagement ICASA presented on youth opportunities, community radio stations, and TV stations. The municipality says through this engagement the forum has identified a number of challenges pertaining to ICT infrastructure and a lack of sufficient communication mediums within the district, and seeks to collaborate with all relevant partners to address these challenges.
