Simphiwe Ambraal & Shauwn Jafta of Colesberg received 3 & 5 years sentences

The South African Police Service says Simphiwe Ambraal and Shawn Jafta were recently sentenced at Colesberg district court for dealing in drugs. Police spokesperson Lieutenant colonel Sergio Kock says the suspects were arrested on 3 separate occasions between the 23rd of November 2019 and the 6th of March 2020. Kock says they pleaded guilty on the 27th of June 2024. He says Shawn Jafta received a 5 years imprisonment sentence which is suspended for 2 years for dealing. According to a police a police statement Simphiwe Ambraal was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment for the first charge and 5 years imprisonment for the second charge of dealing in drugs. Kock says the 2 sentences will not run concurrently.
