Romario Clarence Phiri a young man from postmasburg in the Tsantsabane local municipality area smashed the glass ceiling in spectacular fashion by becoming the first referee in the Province to receive the top refereeing award. The kalahari memorandum in Postmanburg reports that Romario was a talented soccer player who represented the Province at the U/21 level. He started his refereeing career while still in school in 2012 and progressed through the ranks, attending all National Tournaments in the country was promoted to the National Panel of Referees in the 2018/19 season.
