The Northern Cape Department of Education today launched the 10 000 girl learners Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Innovation (STEMI) project at the Kimberley Girls High School. The department states that the four day long project will not only provide a platform to the girls to showcase their mathematic skills, but also expose them to realm captivating career prospects towards mathematics and science fields.Additionally, the department says that the focus is on grade 9 girl learners based at Maths,Science and Technology schools, and further anticipate to encourage learners to take Mathematics and Physical Science as their subject of choice.
