A 12 year direct prison sentence for 2 counts of attempted murder was handed down to a 37 year old man for the brutal stabbing of a couple in Groblershoop on the 30th May 2024. Police spokesperson Lieutenant colonel Sergio Kock says the accused allegedly entered the house while the occupants a 29 year old man and a 35 year old woman were sleeping and stabbed both of them multiple times. The incident is said to have happened on the 12th January 2024 at ten o’clock at night. Kock says both the victims were transported to hospital for medical treatment and the womens ex-boyfriend was arrested 3 days later.
