The MEC for the department of social development Nontobeka Vilakazi is currently conducting an Outreach Programme in the Namaqua District through which they met with communities and granted them the opportunity to voice their concerns and challenges in the community and accroding to a statement by the department they conducted this program to make sure that when the Department of Northern Cape Social Development leaves, that the community is left of better. In the spirit of providing for the namakwa community yesterday he department was in Kammieskroon and unfolded a prgram led by the mec to open a new Soup Kitchen that will provide nutricious meals to more than 300 people per day for five days of the week.
