The Carnarvon family violence, child protection and sexual offences unit secured a 20 year prison sentence for 2 Vosburg rapes in the De Aar regional court, yesterday. Police spokesperson Lieutenant colonel Sergio Kock says a 35 year old woman was allegedly sleeping in her house in Vosburg when the accused broke in and raped her. Kock says the incident happened on the 1st of February 2019. He says the victim recognized the suspect as Pedro Hendricks, a 27 year old man beetter known as "Trossie" and notified the police after he fled the scene. He says whilst on bail, he allegedly raped a second victim, a 23 year old woman in Vosburg on the 2nd of June 2022. Kock says he was found guilty for both rapes and sentenced count to 20 years, 10 years for each rape case.
