A community delegation in the Joe Morolong local municipal area, reportedly raised concerns regarding the commitment made on the rebuilding of the Dithakong boarding school in the area which seem to now have come to an unexplained stop in the actual construction work. The Joe Morolong municipality says an urgent meeting was convened between the municipal Mayor Dineo Leutlwetse-Tshabalala, District Department of Education and the Dithakong Community Delegation at the District Office of the Department of Education. The municipality says the aim of the meeting was to address the concerns raised by the community delegation of Dithakong Village regarding the contractor that left building school sites with no explanation which has lead to vandalism, malicious damage to the school property. The exact resolution of this meeting is yet to be made public however the mayor provided that a positive resolution was undertaken from this meeting, and reiterated that this school is being built in order to assist with challenges of learner transport in Dithakong and nearby villages.
