The MEC responsible for education in the Northern Cape, Zolile Monakali visited the Veritas High School in De Aar earlier today as part of the Love Your School campaign. According to a statement, the MEC handed over school uniforms, stationary packs and sanitary towels to learners at the school. It is reported that the MEC also extended his visit to Monwabisi High School in De Aar where leaners from the latter school received Shova Kalula Bicycles, school uniforms, stationary packs and sanitary towels, which was handed over by MEC Monakali joined by the MEC for transport, safety and liaison Nomandla Bloem. Monakali during his visits stressed that education is a societal matter and all sectors of communities must take ownership of schools in protecting these institutions of learning against any form of theft and vandalism.
