Kuruman police arrested 2 suspects

The South African Police Service says they have seized 4 firearms and ammunition and successfully arrested 2 men after an operation in Kuruman on Friday, the 19th April 2024. Police spokesperson Lieutenant colonel Sergio Kock says the John Taolo Gaetsewe district highway patrol assisted by public order police, K9 unit and detectives followed up on information and raided a house in Kuruman. Kock says police confiscated 4 firearms, ammunition, pangas and knives that were found on the premises. He says police arrested 2 men aged 29 and 36 years old who were charged with possession of unlicensed firearms, ammunition and dangerous weapons. Kock says they will appear at Kuruman magistrate’s court soon and the investigation continues.
