Provincial organized crime investigations unit and the Colesberg highway patrol followed up on information and arrested 2 Somalian nationals in the Western Cape with Khat worth R275 000-00 on Saturday, the 20th April 2024. Police spokesperson Lieutenant colonel Sergio Kock says the investigation led police to Kraaifontein and with the assistance of the Western Cape organized crime investigations narcotics unit the two suspects were arrested with boxes of Khat in their possession. Kock says the suspects aged 38 and 42 years old will appear at Kraaifontein magistrate’s court soon.
