SPU learning centre coming to postmansburg

The Kolomela mine in Postmasburg has partnered with the Sol Plaaitjie university for the establishment of a Sol Plaaitjie learning centre in Postmansburg. The university yesterday shared on their social media that this initiative is envisaged to be a resource for the local community to access information about the University, where they can attend SPU short course offerings and for it to become a locus of online learning for participants in the Talent Pipeline Programme and for registered SPU students. Furthermore the university shared that representatives from the Kolomela Mine led by Mr Theodor Moeti, Specialist Social Economic Development, met with Professor Andrew Crouch, Vice-Chancellor and Principal, and members of the University management team to take forward discussions on the establishment of the SPU Learning Centre in Postmasburg. The university shared that talks about this initiative began between them and the mine began in April 2023 and to date they have resolved that two sites in Postmasburg will be assessed next week for the location of the SPU Learning Centre.
