wilma paulse wins the award for best collection of short stories in afrikaans at the cape flats literary awards

Wilma Paulse an author from Upington comes back this year and shows off her very first award for her literary work in just under a year of releasing her very first book. Wilma recently won the award for the best collection of short stories in Afrikaans from the Cape Flats literary awards initiated and introduced by Shofar books a publishing house in Cape Town and in conversation with Radio Riverside describes Blickies Vol Stories as a book filled with short stories that tell the day to day stories of a small town in the Northern Cape by the name of blikkiesdorp through fictitious characters. Wilma says that she wrote the book in the specific dialect of the Northern Cape communities like that of Upington residents and hopes to continue telling the stories of the people of the Northern Cape through her bookand to introduce the rest of the country to the culture language and day to day lives of the Northern Cape communities.
