Workers went on strike at PEPSICO, Upington

Workers at PEPSICO in Louisvale road outside of Upington are on strike demanding an 8 percent salary increase. The workers say the strike started last week and they will continue with the strike until their demands are met. Workers say the following ……… “Insert” (PEPSICO WORKERS) The shopsteward of the FAWU workers’ union in Upington Thando Zondo says they have been engaging with the employer of PEPSICO demanding an increase, but the employers are refusing. He says they work underpaid, and they will continue striking without payment waiting for answers from the employers. Zondo says the following………. “Insert” (SHOPSTEWARD) Radio Riverside visited the PEPSICO company in Louisvale road yesterday, the 11th of April 2024 where the employer refused to talk to comment on the matter. The company also refused to give contact details company’s legal representative.
