The Road Accident Fund and the South African Tyre Manufacturer Conference will hold a tyre safety awareness workshop for traffic and road safety officers in Kimberley on Thursday, 11 April 2024. Boniswa Matshoba media liaison officer for RAF says through hands-on demonstrations targeted at enhancing driver tyre safety, the RAF and SATMC will improve the awareness of traffic and road safety officers. She says, on Friday, April 12, 2024, after the tire safety awareness workshop, there will be a roadblock where traffic cops will put what they have learned from the workshop into practice. Matshoba says amongst other topics that will be covered in the two-day training include the significance of tire safety, how to recognize safe tires and how to properly maintain tires.
