The MEC responsible
for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism in the Northern Cape, Abraham
Vosloo visited more schools in the ZF Mgcawu region as part of a two-day
school engagement project. Vosloo visited the JJ Adams Intermediate School in
Askahm and the Rietfontein Combined School on Day 2 of the school's engagement
project. Both schools received a total of 150 school uniform donations. In
addition to the aforementioned, JJ Adams Intermediate received 40 mattresses
for the hostel as well as an R200,000 commitment for the much-needed
refurbishment of the school's hostel ablution facilities. During this
engagement, Vosloo stated that it is a government goal that each child reaches
their full potential through initiatives such as no
fees schools, school feeding schemes and the NSFAS.
