The South African Police Service says they are arrested four suspects between the ages of 30 and 45 respectively in Postmansburg on Saturday 6 April 2024 for being in possession of drugs. Police spokesperson sergeant Molefi Shemane says the police conducted a search to alleged drug houses and premises where they discovered drugs to an estimated street value of R17 000, suspected diamond bearing gravel and a substantial amount
of money believed to be the proceeds of crime.
Shemane says in the quest to eradicate the root causes of crime the acting district
commissioner of the ZF Mgcawu district brigadier Monica Sebili reacted on information
received about illicit mining and drug activities that is taking
place in Postmasburg and mobilized the Vala Umgodi team. The suspects are
expected to appear at Postmasburg magistrate court today.
