The South African Police Service says on Wednesday, 3 April
2024, they discovered 350 rounds of 9mm ammunition and 200 rounds of LMG
caliber ammunition on a farm near Lutzputs road. Police spokesperson, Sergeant
Timothy Sam says the Keimoes police received information from the public about
possible suspicious illegal ammunition buried on a farm and carried out a
search plan. He says no suspects have yet been arrested and the police do not
rule out the possibility that more ammunition and firearms are hidden in the
area. Anyone who may have information about the source of this ammunition is
urged to contact police.
