The police in the Northern Cape says they arrested two alleged livestock thieves at
Lukhanyisweni location in Philipstown yesterday 4 April
2024. Police spokesperson sergeant Timothy Sam says police followed up on
information regarding alleged stock theft and livestock products and arrested 2
men aged 36 and 43 respectively and charged them for stock theft and possession
of livestock produce. Sam says the suspects are expected to appear at Philipstown
magistrate court on the 10th of April 2024. He says farmers are also
urged to make sure that their livestock are branded, making it easy to identify
in case of it being stolen or slaughtered.
