The South32 Mine in collaboration with the Joe Morolong Local Municipality together with the Department of Health, yesterday announced the handover of the R61 million Community Health Centre project in Dithakong Village which is an upgrade for the current health facility at the Community and is set to take place within the next three weeks. The municipality provides in an official statement that during the announcement ceremony, the Mayor of Joe Morolong Dineo Leutlwets Tshabalala stressed the importance of community support to ensure the seamless operation of the project without any interruptions which therefore calls to action and underscores the vital role each member of the community plays in the success of this initiative. Furthermore attendees at the meeting included the Mayor, Exco members, Ward Councillor, representatives from the health department, the tribal council, and South32 mine, highlighting the collaborative effort driving this project forward
