Women in Farming Address Gender-Based Violence Through Education

Women in Farming recently launched a campaign to address gender-based violence surrounding underprivileged children from the high schools Oranjezicht and Friesdale in the Kai Gariep Municipal Area. The initiative aimed to educate and raise awareness about the topic empowering both boys and girls with the knowledge and tools to combat it. Leenie Coetzee, the representative for women in farming, led the program and elaborated saying... INSERT [LEENIE] Presentations, and interactive sessions were organized to discuss the negative impact of such violence and the importance of building a respectful and just society. Introducing young boys to the possibility of supporting and elevating women in their communities by challenging traditional gender roles and stereotypes.
