The Office of the Auditor General South Africa presented Clean Audit Awards for the 2022-2023 Public Finance Management Act audit outcomes yesterday. Five departments in the Northern Cape received awards respectively. The MEC of Coghsta Bentley Vass shared his gratitude for the clean audit reward that his department together with others including the Office of the Premier, Provincial Treasury, Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Social Development and Northern Cape Provincial Legislature while three Public Entities namely the Northern Cape Tourism Authority, the Northern Cape Fleet Management and the Housing Fund also received Clean Audits. The Provincial government at its turn says in response to receiving these awards that that the Sixth Administration committed itself to sound and prudent financial management and governance and through deliberate efforts, this improved the Public Finance Management Act audit outcomes and ensured that no provincial department was in the disclaimer space.
