Upington community members shared their views after legal counsel for national assembly
speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula said an arrest affected against her would
undermine the ‘innocent until proven guilty’ principle. This R2.3
million amid corruption allegations were levelled against Mapisa-Nqakula during her tenure as
Defence minister. She is accused of allegedly soliciting R2.3
million from a contractor during her tenure as minister of defence and military
veterans. Members of the community in Upington say the following - - -
