The MEC of Cooperative Governance Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs in the northern cape Bentley Vass recently visited the Pixley Ka Seme Region to discuss the allocation of the R1 billion housing project. Spokesperson for the department in the office of the MEC, Babalwa mzambo provides in an official statement that this region marks the final stop for the project, highlighting its importance in the overall plan. According to the statement the MEC at his turn emphasized that the housing project will proceed in phases with the first phase involving the construction of 2500 units at a cost of R600 million. Finally mzambo adds that The MEC also outlined that the housing project is set to commence on 1st April across the province. While there may be variations in the start of construction in different areas, the overall target is to have all 2500 units completed by March 31st, 2025.
