Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has warned his team to
avoid distractions when they face Hungry Lions in the Nedbank Cup last-16 on
Saturday (6pm kick-off). Pirates are on a high after defeating arch-rivals
Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 in the DStv Premiership last weekend. The victory ensured
that they would remain in contention for second place in the league. Orlando Pirates currently hold the coveted spot with 33 points, while leaders Mamelodi Sundowns
have 46 points and two games in hand. The
Buccaneers have already defended their MTN8 title, so another cup double and
second-place finish on the log will cap off a successful season for the Soweto
outfit.
