The MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism in the Northern Cape,  Abraham Vosloo today met with the management team of the Kai! Garib Local Municipality in Keimoes. According to the department, in his remarks, the MEC indicated that it is the responsibility of management to manage funds of the municipality properly to improve the current state of the municipality.  Vosloo further indicated that officials need to appreciate proper financial processes to ensure that those who do not, are held accountable. He stated that consequence management should be a process for consideration  to weed out the rotten apples that hinder proper procedures  to take place, and this should be done without fear and without favour. The engagement according to the department seeked to address challenges faced by the municipality and solutions that will improve service delivery.
