The police in Kenhardt are investigating a murder case where a 29 year old man who is the father of 2 months old baby allegedly took the child from the mother and ran away in Kenhardt the past weekend. Police spokesperson sergeant Omphile Masegela says the parents were allegedly involved in an argument on Saturday night, the 9th March 2024. Masegela says during the argument the father allegedly took the baby boy placed him in a backpack and left with him. Masegela says the body of a lifeless baby was discovered in the nearby veld yesterday morning, the 10th March 2024. Masegela says police launched a manhunt for the suspect and anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect is urged to contact the nearest police.
