The accident that took place this morning on the Nelson Mandela Drive next to the Sandile Present library is said to have claimed the life of one person. It is believed that the collision between an SUV and a smaller vehicle was caused by one of the drivers trying to overtake. Eyewitnesses at the scene claim that passengers, including children, in the SUV suffered minor injuries and were immediately taken to hospital. Allegedly, the death occurred in the smaller vehicle, where the only occupant, the driver, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
