The De Aar regional court convicted and sentenced the 24 year old Freddy De Bruin to 10 years direct imprisonment for rape on the 27th February 2024 and his name will be entered in the national sexual offences register. Police spokesperson sergeant Molefi Shemane says a 22 year old woman was allegedly asleep when she felt that someone was on top of her at two o’clock in the morning on the 2nd October 2024.
