The police urged motorists traveling between Campbell and Griekwastad on the N8 to avoid the road due to a protest action currently underway from yesterday, the 12th February 2024. Police spokesperson sergeant Molefi Shemane says the protestors have barricaded and closed the road in Griekwastad on the N8. Shemane says they are allegedly protesting the lack of service delivery. He says the South African police service public order police is monitoring the situation. According to information, no arrests have been made with no injuries reported.
