Community members are urged to report sexual cases 2 police

The South African Police Service is urging members of the community to report sexual offences cases. This after the acting unit commander of Upington FCS warrant officer Liezel Nte raised awareness on sexual Offences, domestic violence and gender-based violence on Radio Riverside on Tuesday, the 6th February 2024. Police spokesperson sergeant Omphile Masegela says safety hints were shared to create awareness and assist residents to avoid falling victims of sexual offences and to protect the vulnerable groups. Nte explained the process of reporting, investigation by the unit and the court proceedings. Nte reiterated that community members must always be each other's eye and ears also that they must report sexual offence cases as soon as possible. She said all victims will be treated with utmost respect and dignity.
