The first information session of the year with the Northern Cape Innovation Forum (NCIF) was held yesterday

The first information session of the year with the Northern Cape Innovation Forum (NCIF) was held recently at the Vodacom ICT center in Upington by the Sol Plaatjie University - Centre for Entrepreneurship and Rapid Incubator (CfERI). Jerome Jacobs, the CfERI's Maker Space Technical Assistant says, the aim is to raise awareness of the NCIF program and its resources. According to him, the goal is to build a database that will be used to exchange information about the program, making it easier for them to find participants. According to Jacobs, the Northern Cape Innovation Forum initiative was unveiled a year ago, but the current priority is getting it off the ground. Cybersecurity and design thinking trainings, as well as awareness workshops on funders and the many funding schemes available for creative individuals and small enterprises, are among the scheduled sessions to be completed by the end of the current fiscal year.
