Operating hours at the offices of the department of Home Affairs returned back to normal today. Office manager Patrick Davids says the office they operated with extra hours from Friday, the second of February 2024 until Sunday, the 4th February 2024. He says community members used the opportunity to collect and applied for their smart ID cards at office including different mobile offices outside Upington. Davids says the following........“Insert” (FRIDAY)  Davis says on Saturday, the 3rd of February 2024 only 35 community members collected their Identity documents and 37 applied for ID’s. Davids says the following..............“Insert” (SATURDAY) He says yesterday, on the last day of the extended hours, 38 people collected their ID’s and 62 applied for their smart ID cards in office including the mobile units.
