NC education to tighten the belt of intervention on struggling schools.

The Northern Cape department of education on Wednesday, 24 January 2024 completed a 3 -extended Executive Management Team meeting to clarify the path forward for providing high-quality education and to resolve and revive the strategies and interventions that enhance the outcomes for both educators and learners. The department says, on day three of the meeting MEC responsible for education in the province, Zolile Monakali made a call for immediate action, to address the weaknesses in the education system, introduce targeted interventions, put in place mechanisms to curb under-performance, and improve support systems to schools.  The department says, during the provincial release of the NSC results, Premier Dr Zamani Saul stressed on interventions to be tightened to assist under performing schools.
