Police arrested a 23 year old man for house breaking, theft and illegal possession of an unlicenced firearm in Karos, Upington yesterday, the 18th January 2024. Police spokesperson sergeant Omphile Masegela says a case of burglary was reported at a farm near Karos on Sunday, the 7th January 2024 where a rifle was allegedly stolen. Masegela says police followed up on information that led to a house in Karos where the suspect was found in possession of the suspected stolen rifle. She says police issue a stern warning to firearm license holders to ensure the safe keeping of their firearms at all times.
