MEC for the department of transport safety and liaison Nomandla Bloem visited two schools in the John Taolo Gaetsewe district to evaluate their preparedness for the 2024 school year. In addition to marking the start of the 2024 school year, January 17, 2024, they also mark the deployment of the entire Northern Cape Cabinet to various public schools. Acoording to a statement MEC Nomandla Bloem spent the morning at Olifantshoek's Noordkaap Laerskool and Langeberg High School as part of the government's back-to-school campaign to make sure these institutions got off to a good start. During her speech, MEC Bloem urged students to recognize the value of education and to work hard and responsibly on their coursework. MEC Bloem was accompanied by the mayor of the district.
