The Northern Cape department of education says a team is working around the clock to have learners not yet placed secured before the end of the week. The respective district offices today had to do headcounts of learners on the first day of schooling to confirm available school spaces to place the outstanding learners. The department says that it has indicated from the onset that it will not be able to guarantee the first school choice of parents due to the limited capacity at certain schools.
